We are seeking a procurement professional to support the Head of Supply Chain Procurement in leading and coordinating strategy, transformation and procurement performance initiatives across the global business. In short, you’ll support the delivery of our supply chain procurement roadmap – on an international scale. Along with managing day to day supplier relationships and contract management, you’ll tackle key contracts, support strategic sourcing, negotiate pricing and contract terms and make sure processes are implemented.

Whatever the task, you’ll secure targeted savings and apply a commercial approach that supports our wider five-year plan.

Core Accountabilities:

  1. Support line manager with the delivery of the category procurement strategy in line with corporate policies and procedures to achieve function strategy (cost, cash, service and risk) and best value for money.
  2. Support the selection and approval of suppliers and related procurement activities for business area to ensure appropriate supplier base who deliver to contractual agreement and outlined cost aligned to business needs.
  3. Monitor procurement activity within aligned business area to ensure that all procurement processes and procedures are consistently followed.
  4. Accomplish reporting activities with accuracy and in a timely fashion (contract database, activity tracker, KPI report, savings alignment with commercial finance, etc). Monitor and action contracts ahead of renewal aligned with stakeholder and line manager.
  5. Support supplier contract performance and act as an escalation point for the business to negotiate with suppliers in the event of non-performance to ensure contracts are delivered on time and in full.
  6. Support the budget and category management planning process.
  7. Support with ad hoc projects.

A Bit About You:

  • You are able to coordinate procurement activity across indirect category teams, engaging with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Finance and Supply Chain 
  • You can effectively collaborate with the procurement team to understand current status and drive continuous improvement 
  • You have the skills to support strategic sourcing by analysing RFPs, working with stakeholders to achieve quality, price and value 
  • You are able to support on contracting and have a strong understanding of key commercial risks  Strong analytics background 
  • Degree & CIPS/equivalent qualification preferred or equivalent experience

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Degree & CIPS/equivalent qualification preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in indirect procurement engaging with stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain
  • Experience of working with third parties
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage supplier relationships
  • Strong ability to analyse data, produce and present reporting
  • Understanding of global Procurement processes and full life cycle tenders
  • Understanding of procurement systems
