Core Accountabilities:

  1. Troubleshoot any reported defects and diagnose issues or abnormalities with facilities equipment, powered motive vehicles and building systems and carry out quality repairs to the affected equipment.
  2. Electrical and mechanical repair of all facility, building and motive equipment.
  3. Identify unreported defects or abnormalities with the associated equipment and communicate these issues to leadership.
  4. Maintain all equipment in good working order with quality preventive maintenance practices and procedures.
  5. Document all repairs and preventive maintenance performed to facilities, building and motive equipment.
  6. Communicate the need of any repair parts, supplies, tools or equipment to leadership.
  7. Facilitate training and support MHE maintenance team as needed.
  8. Cross-training in other functional areas as assigned
  9. Ensure and maintain a safe work environment throughout the facility and grounds following all safety and OSHA protocol and processes.

Essential Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Requirements of maintaining facilities, buildings and motive equipment in good repair.
  • Proper methods, materials, tools, terminology and equipment used in maintenance work.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing systems used in an industrial setting. Electrical knowledge of AC systems of up 480VAC, and DC controls voltages necessary.
  • Basic operation of personal computers using Microsoft windows based operating system.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics.
  • Knowledge in reading blueprints and interpreting mechanical assembly drawings and blueprints.

Successful Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance experience.
  • Electrical systems troubleshooting and interpretation of schematic diagrams.
  • Previous experience working with facilities, buildings and powered motive equipment.

Technical Skills:

  • Operation of personal computers and programs using Microsoft windows based operating system.
  • Technical aspects of industrial maintenance, including but not limited to electrical and mechanical systems for building systems and equipment systems.
  • Repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems, sprinklers and fire pumps.
  • Building security systems and proximity card readers.
  • Building management system.
  • Operation and maintenance of rainwater harvesting system.
  • Repair and maintenance of powered motive equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance experience – machine shop, welding and fabrication skills.
  • Must be able to work at heights of at least 85 feet.
  • Capable of lifting heavy weights of up to 50 pounds.
