The role

After nearly two centuries in the business, there’s a lot of expertise at Clarks. By making that expertise more accessible and shareable, your digital learning initiatives will develop skills, enrich teams and strengthen our organisation.

Collaborating with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across our business, you’ll understand the scope of knowledge, how it benefits the business and identify areas where expertise needs developing. These will be your starting points for the new Global Learning Management System (LMS) that you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining which will guide your strategy.

Facilitating webinar and classroom sessions by using text, graphics, animation and video in interactive eLearning content— with a people first approach, your focus will be to create an engaging Learning experience for all within the business. Change is afoot at Clarks and, as the Digital Learning Manager, you’ll play a significant role in driving this.

A bit about you

Your significant experience in Learning & Development will mean you’ll have gained the project management and organisational skills needed to lead transformational change and projects at a global organisation. You’ll also have a comprehensive understanding of everything you’ll need to create truly engaging learning materials across a range of media. That means, as well as being able to conceptualise and write voice-over scripts, you’ll have the practical skills with Adobe Creative Cloud suite and software, like ProTools and Premiere Pro, to realise your ideas.

You’ll shape our culture here, so embodying the values of Clarks as we move forward is crucial. An experienced and creative problem solver, you’ll be able to demonstrate how you’ve owned and delivered major projects in the past. That—along with your authoritative yet empathic communication style—is why you’ll inspire confidence in and get the best out of all those you collaborate with. Which, in turn, will have a positive impact here—and at a global organisation like ours, that’s quite an impact to have.

About Clarks

Clarks, based in Somerset, England, has been at the forefront of innovative shoemaking since its foundation in 1825, when brothers James and Cyrus Clark made a slipper from sheepskin off-cuts. At the time it was ground-breaking; a combination of invention and craftsmanship that’s remained at the heart of what the brand does now.

In the Clarks archive of more than 22,000 pairs are shoes that have sparked revolutions and defined generations. From the original Clarks Desert Boot, first designed by Nathan Clark and launched in 1950 to the iconic Wallabee, each design has an instantly recognisable signature – a unique combination of craftsmanship and innovation that make it unmistakably Clarks.

Underpinned by a rich heritage and strong values, Clarks is a leading global footwear brand serving millions of consumers across the world, operating retail, wholesale, franchise and online channels in over 100 markets worldwide supported by nearly 6,000 employees across the world.

In February 2021, Clarks entered a new chapter in its history as it formed a partnership with LionRock Capital, positioning the iconic footwear brand for future success as it enters its third century.
